Life Altering News

Yesterday, October 24th I went in for an ultrasound to date my pregnancy. I was measuring large (which is completely normal for me). I was all by myself, as Ben was at work, and the ultrasound tech was so helpful.
But this is what she found. Two babies. The tech acted like I should have known that there was two babies in there (I think that I was in denial). I don't know that I ever really thought about it. After I got out of the appointment I tried to call Ben. He of course didn't answer his phone. I ended up sending him a text message that said "It is twins". He got the message while he was on the phone with a client. He was in shock and couldn't talk. I got a text back about an hour later that said "Wow". During his lunch break he told me that I wasn't ever allowed to send him a message like that again. This is our last pregnancy, so I doubt I will ever have to do that again. But then again, if he would answer his phone when I called I wouldn't have had to let him know that way. But he was definitely the first to know.
We told the girls that night. By showing them the ultrasound pictures. Not that you are able to decipher much by an ultrasound, but they finally figured out there was two of them. We told Tonya it was all her fault (she is the one that wished for one of each during our trying period) and we threatened to ground her to diaper duty for a long time. She really isn't grounded, but I am blaming the twins on her wishing (and praying) for them.
We will update this blog on the babies as we find out more. When I go to my appointments, we get an ultrasound each visit. There are 2 ultrasound machines in his office, so I get to see the babies each time and get pictures. Just don't call them blobs, that offends Dr. Young. So these are our little beans, keep checking back for more updates.
