We now know what they are...

Baby A decided quickly to share that she was a girl.

Baby B was a whole other story. At one point Baby B had his back faced to us and was kneeling with his legs crossed. The first tech couldn't get him to change positions for anything. Then when the Perinatologist came in, she got him to move just fine but still didn't have a great look. They decided that we were having two girls. After completely inspecting the babies (they looked at everything at least twice) we were given tons of warnings about how high risk this pregnancy is and the possibility with both babies being the same sex might mean that they could be identical and we would have to watch for twin to twin transfusion and a bunch of scary stuff. The Perinatologist glided the little wand past the babies and saw something that didn't look right. She was shocked, Baby B had adjusted yet again and you noticed an extra part. She went back and looked a lot closer and yep, he is definitely a boy.

So we now know that we will be having boy/girl twins. Our whole family is very excited for them to come. Our goal right now is to make it to 36 weeks and we will probably have an amnio to make sure that they are ready. It is almost the highest risk pregnancy you can having (the only thing higher would have been if they were in the same sac). We are taking things very easy and as the Mom I have to avoid stress and anything that might cause strain. Probably easier said than done. We will be seeing my OB about every 3 weeks and we will see the Perinatologist every month. We are now 19 weeks, we don't know the length of each baby but they did say they weigh about 12 oz right now.
