Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!

Tyson in a new outfit that is actually his.

Ellie hooked up to everything, yesterday.
We will start this story from the beginning for all of those that don't know what has happened in the last week. We haven't had the time or energy to update everyone or to blog so here we go.
After an awesome first week of life, on Sunday night we received the most upsetting news yet. Ellie had blood in her stools. They checked for fissures and every other benign possibility. They started doing blood tests, xrays and exams. We went back to the hospital Monday morning, and got the news that she was definitely sick, that her bowels were enlarged and that they had to put a suction drain on her (the tube in her mouth in the picture above), a PICC line (an IV that is a tube that goes into her vein) and they would be giving her 4 different antibiotics. They also told us that she wouldn't be having any breastmilk until she was over this infection, but if it didn't get better then we were possibly looking at surgery. It was very stressful and hard to leave her in the hospital. We called around and got in touch with our Bishop to help Ben give her a blessing. Later that night when we went back to the hospital, the Bishop came to give Ellie her blessing, the feeling had completely changed. Ben and I both felt better about her diagnoses and outcome. Ellie is a fighter. Tuesday was about the same. Wednesday she was doing a little better and they turned off the suction only to turn it back on on Thursday and they have turned it off again today, but may turn it back on later (we don't know until they do it). On Wednesday they gave Ellie a blood transfusion because her platelette count was really low and the clotting level was down. I don't remember the names of the tests they did or even how many they have done, it is a little intimidating and a lot scary.
Ellie is becoming more active and seems to be doing real well. Ben and I got to hold her yesterday for the first time in over 4 days. It is so hard to just hold her hand and not cuddle with her or let her try to latch on. She was doing so well before this infection.
Tyson was tested this week for the same thing and doesn't seem to have the infection. He is actually doing really well. They are both over 4 lbs right now (actually about 4 lbs 2 oz). Tyson is latching on and getting his milk through an NG tube. We haven't taken many pictures as our thoughts are on other things right now, but above is some of the pictures we have taken. We have more and can email them out, but there doesn't seem to much room to put pictures on here. Tonight I should be able to give Tyson his first full immersion bath. It is hard when one is progressing but the other is stuck stationary for a little while. I just know that I am grateful for everyone's well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I know I couldn't do this right now without faith and prayers. Thank you everyone for your support, we love you all!!

I hope Ellie gets better soon. I had no idea anything was wrong. You and your family will definitely be in my prayers. They are adorable little babies. I can't believe how tiny they are!
