Look how they have grown.
Ellie is off of her oxygen!!! Yeah!!!
So Ellie is off of her oxygen and all monitoring. We are so excited to have graduated at least one baby. It is so odd to be able to carry her around the house now. We have been tied to our bedroom with all of the equipment, because it is too much to carry everything and the babies. Ben walked out into the kitchen today after church and chatted while I was fixing dinner, it was nice.
We are waiting for Tyson's Cardiologist appointment on Thursday to find out when we can take him off oxygen. If I haven't mentioned it, he has a hole in his heart that is suppose to be the kind that will grow in. This hole has been regurgitating red blood cells and they have been living in his lungs, which makes it so he has way to many red blood cells and he has to work harder to get oxygen through his system. So they put him on meds and oxygen. We will take him in for another Echo on Thursday and find out when he can come off the oxygen.
As of Wednesday of last week, Ellie is 7lbs 13 oz and Tyson is 9lbs 4 oz. Ellie is still on high calorie formula and Tyson is just on regular formula. Ellie is gaining about 6 to 7 oz each week and Tyson (typical boy I am told) is gaining 10 to 14 oz each week.
It is amazing to watch them grow. They are now 10 weeks old (almost 2 1/5 months) and I am amazed at how much both have grown since they got home. Having 2 babies at home isn't near as bad as I thought it would be, but I still haven't even come close to catching up on my housework. Chabrise is gone for 1 month with her dad, Tonya is gone for 2 weeks right now with her dad, so that leaves me at home with the 3 youngest. Kinda scary some days. I realize that Chabrise and Tonya really help entertain Megan (who is lost without her big sisters) but I think that I miss them just as much.
To all of our family and friends, we are planning on blessing the babies the first Sunday of August. Our church is at 9 am. You are all invited to attend. We will have a small brunch at our home after the blessing. If you have any questions, please email me.
We love you all!
