Our Year in Review
So much has happened this last year. Much of which were blessings. Life altering changes were made and we made it!!!
We were blessed with 2 additions to our family. After 5 months of bedrest (okay, I didn't do that very well), 1 week in the hospital, Ellie and Tyson arrived in April.
They both came home on oxygen. But we were just glad that they came home after spending almost 2 months in NICU. This was while the gas was above $3 a gallon and rising. Very expensive trips. Ellie got really sick when she was a few days old, and there were some really scary times. But we made it through it, only by faith and believing!
Ellie and Tyson continued to grow, still being the center of our lives. Will things ever get back to normal?
This is when I had my oral surgery, Dad was in charge.
In October, I had oral surgery to put in Dentures. This was a hard thing for me. I hate needles, pain and volunteering for the previously mentioned items. I am not one to go to the dr's for fun. I had put this off as long as possible. I actually quit smiling years ago, just because I was embarrassed. You will see me smile a lot because of this blessing!!
Okay, I was a grandma for a few days. And you know, it was quite fun. If you look at ClarAnn close enough, you will see that I found a picture online and printed it off for Chabrise to use on her baby. I did this, because it was easy- not because it was creative. Chabrise's teacher loved it. She said that she had never seen anyone do that before and she had seen a lot of things. I just didn't want to be responsible for uneven eyes, a crooked nose or something like that. Did I mention that I can't draw?
Chabrise has become an avid photographer. She loves to take pictures. Sometimes I can hardly get the camera away from her. You should see some of her work!
For Christmas this year, we got together with Ben's family. This is the first time that we had all of the kids (and their spouses) together, under the same roof. It was a very fun day and we are hoping to make it a tradition!
This is Chabrise's Grandparents and some of her cousins on that side. We love Charles and Peggy!! They always include the other kids, just like they were their own. And they are. We took Megan and the twins down to the Elks Lodge's kids Christmas Party.
The year was a success!
We lived, we loved, we have each other!!!
What else could be more important than that? We wish you and yours the Happiest New Year possible! We love you all!
